Here She Stood

She stood

In the midst

Of giant poets

And she voiced

Her inner thoughts,

Person to the world

She stood

Amongst the best

And caught the wind

On her sails of essence

And she gallantly followed

Into the horizons of wisdom

She stood amongst us

And will remain standing

My First Poem

What is my first poem
Going to be?
This one or that one?
Still trying to line them up
before I write them down.

Struggled with organising
the lines and verses
Ideas that flooded
My mind  and heart
Wait! Before I write you

Let me get a pen and a paper
And then only open
The flood gates.
Hope I will be able to keep up
And put down my mind
On paper and call it a poem
