Just today, this very now
I was awaken by my sleep
It forced my sleeping eyes
Wide bright awake open
Just this very now, tonight
I rose to the sound of noise
That evaporated into steams
And yielded my dream to ideas
My dreams fitted in a little box
Packed with only two poems
A short scene, I was part of
And the desire for more sleep
I was left with just nothing
But the rest of the cold night
In the company of hot coffee
And this very last line of a poem
By: Keamogetsi joseph Molapong
I was inspired by sleeplessness.

ReplyDeleteThis is a really cool poem somehow sad, the cold night all by yourself, the only companion was the hot coffee and somehow sweet. :)
